Typically Admission Process in New Zealand entails the following steps
- A student must understand his current skill set / educational qualifications / Experience and other curricular achievements
- Know the types of programs he/she can apply
- Prioritize the list of 1-2 courses he wants to study
- Evaluate and shortlist 6-8 universities /colleges to apply for admissions based on criteria of affordability/brand name/course or university ranking/cost of the complete course
- Prepare a Statement of Purpose or Essay as asked for by different universities
- Obtain Letters of Recommendation from current/previous professors (Education related) and from your superiors
- Apply to the SVEP approved Universities / Colleges at least 3 weeks before the cut-off date (preferably complete the process by mid-November of the year preceding the year of Fall intake) – SVEP is the Student Exchange Visitor Program
