    • Living Halls / Dormitories / Student Hostels (GBP 15000-17000 p.a)
    • Room in Private Apartments (GBP 22000-30000 p.a)

UK offers the following types of degree courses

  • Undergraduate – (it is a Bachelors program with 3 years duration or higher If you opt for industrial placement)
  • Post Graduate Degree – (equivalent to Diploma and is offered for 2 years)
  • Taught Masters – (It is a Master’s degree and varies from 1 to 2 years in duration)
  • Master’s Degree in research
  • Doctoral  – (PhD equivalent and takes 3 to 6 years to complete)

In the UK – for higher studies – you can opt for Short Term Study Visa or a Tier 4 (General) Study Visa

Typically Admission Process entails the following steps

  1. A student must understand his current skill set / educational qualifications / Experience and other curricular achievements
  2. Know the types of programs he/she can apply
  3. Prioritize the list of 1-2 courses he wants to study in the UK
  4. Evaluate and shortlist 6-7 universities /colleges to apply for admissions based on criteria of affordability/university ranking/costs/placement opportunities etc
  5. Prepare a Statement of Purpose or Essay as asked for by different universities
  6. Obtain Letters of Recommendation from current/previous professors (Education related) and from your superiors
  7. Apply to the approved Universities / Colleges at least 20 days before the cut-off date (preferably complete the process by the end of November of the year if you want to apply for next year’s Fall intake

Steps to Apply for Student Visa in UK

  1. Once the university offers you admission – they will issue your Confirmation for Acceptance of Studies (CAS) certificate
  2. The next step is to apply for a short study or Tier 4 (General) Student Visa
  3. Fill up the online application and submit supporting documents including proof of funds / TB certificate / ATAS certificate / English language test results
  4. After paying visa fees you can seek an appointment with the UK embassy/consulate
  5. Take a printout of supporting documents including a bank-attested SB account statement – in case you are called for an interview else your application decision is communicated verbally
